- 1 package Smoked Sausage
- 1/2 cup thin slices yellow onion
- 1 cup thin sliced red bell pepper
- 1 cup prepared tomato sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 Hoagie buns
- Preheat oven at 425F.
- Bias-slice sausage into 1/4 to 1/2-inch thick pieces.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high. Cook the sausage, onions and peppers in the tomato sauce for 8-10 minutes, stirring often. Spoon the mixture into buns and place on a baking sheet, top with shredded cheese. Bake for 3-5 minutes, just until the cheese has melted.
